WAITATA FAMILY GROUP
On Saturday 4 November, Fr Paul Finucane launched the Set Bo Family Group at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Waitara. The inaugural meeting hosted 5 Korean
families, 5 Australian, 2 Indian, 1 Sri Lankan and 1 Burmese. Many more expressed interest in joining, so by the beginning of December the Group had grown to 25 families including a family from the Sudan.
The first Social gathering was a Christmas Party where more than 60 members joined special guests, local MP Judy Hopgood, Mayor Nick Berman, Fr Paul Finucane
and Fr Joseph Chung. Children enjoyed an exciting from Santa (aka Fr Paul) who distributed presents to all.
The group welcomed the New Year with an Australia Day family picnic at Bobbin Head National Park. We are looking forward to many more exciting events throughout
2007.
