FAMILY GROUP NEWS FROM WAGGA Family Groups are going well in Kooringal Parish, in Wagga. With six groups, totallying
about 90 families.
We are sorry to hear their pastor, Fr. Plunkett has been very ill. He developed a germ in the blood, possibly picked up from hospital visits- he spends about
7-8 hours a week visiting patients – he was in hospital for about a month and is still on antibiotics and penicillin treatment. Bishop Hanna has been helping out with Masses at Kooringal while Fr. Plunkett has been so ill.
Bishop Hanna inducted the Family Group new leaders and led the prayers for the renewal of all the leaders two weeks ago and said he would like to attend a
gathering of the Family Groups some time. We may be able to co-ordinate this with Fr Peter’s visit to Wagga later in the year.
Kooringal parish is very fortunate to have such a supportive priest as Fr. Plunkett as their Parish
Priest. He attends all their Family Group gatherings; prints all the group activities on the Mass sheet and always invites the congregation to the morning teas put on twice a month, so the wonderful movement of the Family Groups is alive and well in Wagga
Love and blessings from Ron and Margaret McAuliffe Co-ordindators of Kooringal Parish, Wagga
