On Sunday, 20th November, the Parish Coordinators of the Hills District Cluster met at the home of Maureen and Ray Scully, the Coordinators for both the Region and St. Bernadette’s Castle Hill Parish. They were joined by Fr. Peter and Mary Ingham.

Each gave a rundown on the state of the Family Groups within their Parish. They discussed what was working, what wasn’t and shared ideas to help each other in their very important ministry. Some consistent themes that arose throughout the discussions were:

-     The importance of obtaining the full support of your Parish
      priest for the Family Groups

-     The need to maintain a program to attract new members

-     As coordinators we need to share the responsibility with our leaders and ensure they also own the success of the movement within your Parish.

Fr Peter and Mary Ingham provided encouragement and support and shared a few stories that highlighted the value of the Family groups at work.
