On Sunday 4th March, we had a great turn up at St Anthony in the Fields's church at Terrey Hills for the annual day of motivation & participation, run by Fr Peter McGrath CP for 80 dedicated Family Group people from many parishes from 6 NSW dioceses The day began with celebration of Mass followed by a motivational talk by Fr. Peter, which led to much discussion among our members. Many ideas came forth on recruitment of new people into the groups; the importance of leaders' meetings on a regular basis; ideas on mixed ages groups or senior groups; how to bring about a large gathering of Family Groups etc Margaret and Paul Casey, from the south coast, led a discussion after lunch; Margaret keeping us all alert with some exercises and stories, and Paul inspiring us with a modern parable! Peter finished the day with an open forum, with many ideas coming from our enthusiastic participants. All went away from the day with renewed motivation to pass onto the groups in their parish
