One Sunday Fr Peter
came to St Phillip Neri Church in Northbridge and told us about Family
Groups.
Trish Sweeney, then
Family Group C0-ordinator, worked very hard and organised four groups,
each with a Leader, to carry on.
Our Family Group
started ij the normal way with all ages represented but ultimately we
found that only the older members, whose families were grown, were
continuing to attend.
There are still Family
Groups in our parish with nearly all young ones, but I assure you that
our Group is having fun!
We have grown into a
loving, supporting, caring family and we really enjoy our outings
together. We have all come to know each other very well and we really
"care about each other".
One couple, in their
80s, as we say, even came back from their retirement village to join
us.
