Dear All
Just thought we
would fill you in on some of the inspirational words we heard at the
Family Group Day at Terry
Hills on Sunday
24 February. There was a lot of sharing and reflection and many jewels
were interspersed amid the comments.
“FAMILY Groups demands MORE
THAN JUST TOLERANCE. We look out for each other.
It becomes a way to practice unconditional love.”............
RON
from WAGGA
Two cancer sufferers met at
RPA
Hospital
cancer ward. They have just met again as parishioners of the newest
Family Groups at Bathurst’s Anglican
Cathedral Parish. They attend different services and had never met!
One parish assumes all members
will be in a Family Group. Parishoners have to write to the
parish secretary if they don’t want to be in a group! How’s that for a
recruiting strategy?
"We all
have gifts – to be given away when others need it”
“We are
privileged to be so closely linked in the good time and the bad times”
........... ARTHUR from WAITARA
“Those who attend are meant to attend.
What happens is what is meant to happen!”............ South African tribal philosophy
Family Groups help me spread my gifts
more widely..”............
JOE
from NARRABEEN
I visited my old Family Group at
St Brigid’s. Everyone keeps
it going”............ MARY From STRATHFIELD
“There must be faith involved”
“It is the heart of the Church, the heart
aspects of the Gospel”
One man invited his recently widowed
brother–in –law to a Family Group BBQ. He is now a member of a group
and started going back to church!
